Based on their manufacturing process, metal roof tiles can generally be divided into three categories: stone-coated metal roof tiles, painted metal roof tiles, and natural metal finish tiles.
Stone Coated Metal Roof Tiles:
Made with a galvalume steel plate substrate, these tiles are formed through high-pressure molding, then coated with acrylic resin and sintered with basalt granules at high temperature. They combine the strength of metal with the natural beauty of stone, offering excellent weather resistance and decorative appeal. Today, they are one of the most widely used high-end roofing solutions.
Painted Metal Roof Tiles:
Also known as color-coated steel tiles, these are produced from galvalume steel, galvanized steel, or aluminum-magnesium-manganese alloy, with a sprayed or coated finish. The most common type is the standing seam design, which is widely applied in stadiums, exhibition halls, and commercial roofing projects. With a sleek, modern appearance, they are especially suited for large-span structures.
Natural Metal Finish Tiles:
These tiles do not undergo any coating process and instead highlight the raw beauty of the material itself, such as pure copper or titanium-zinc plates. Often used in premium architecture, they emphasize the unique texture, tone, and natural patina of the metal, setting them apart from coated metal sheets.
